My name is Geert Bero,I am born in Oostende Belgium ,vintage 1973.
But recently moved to Stockholm Sweden where I have a fantastic family with my wife Sara and daughters Lisa and Linn.
My job is running the Golden Tulip Bero in Belgium,with a well stocked whiskybar offcourse.

My first Single malt encounter was in 1998 with an Oban 14y ,there my exploration for the "water of life"started.
When I joined a tasting of the peatfreaks in Oostende,where we had the Ardbeg single cask 2740 for the Belgian market, I fell in love with Ardbeg. A sensational dram!!And so my collection took of.

I started buying a couple of Ardbeg’s and focused on distillery bottlings only for the collection.
I always try to buy two bottles of each,one for collecting,the other one for drinking.
I do have 100 open Ardbeg’s including some independent bottles in my personal drinking stash.
My friends join me regularly for a tasting in the great Ardbeg Room.


That’s how one bottle became two and two became four and so on....have a look at my collection.

I am a member of the Lindores whisky society,a private society of 11 friends with a
huge passion for single malt whisky.

I recently provided almost all the bottles for the pictures in the Ardbeg book "A peaty provenance" by Graeme Wallace.
